Update on the Coronavirus Outbreak
Resound School of Music is committed to the safety and wellbeing of both our students and our teachers during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. On March 16th, 2020, we issued a statement that our teachers would be staying at home during the two-week Spring Break, lasting from March 16-March 29, in order to prevent the spread of infection to our students and their families.
We have been closely monitoring the situation as it applies to Canadians, as well as following actions recommended by Canadian health authorities, the Public Health Agency of Canada and the World Health Organization.
Taking Music Lessons Online
On March 25th, 2020, we announced that we would be suspending all in-home music lessons until further notice. All music lessons will now be offered online, through live coordinated video lessons. All students will have the option available to them to continue their music lessons online with their teacher until it is safe to return to in-home lessons.
If you would prefer to temporarily pause your lessons, then please notify our office of this and we will put your classes on hold. Please know that we will continue to reserve your weekly lesson spot with your teacher for when you are ready to return to your regularly scheduled classes.
Here to Serve You
Our offices will remain open, but to reduce the opportunity for community transmission, all Resound staff will be working remotely from home. We will be operating on limited office hours during this time, and postponing all meetings, interviews, and consultations until further notice. If you require any assistance, please don’t hesitate to email us at [email protected], and we will respond to your inquiry within 1 business day.
Thank you for your patience and understanding, and I hope that we can continue to serve you and your families during this unprecedented time.
