Ali Davies
Piano & Voice Teacher
Ali Davies grew up in Surrey, BC, where she began taking piano lessons at the age of 4. From a young age, her teachers identified her aptitude for passing along information and began providing her all the tools she would need to eventually become an educator. At the age of 15, Ali began teaching piano, and immediately understood that this would be her life’s passion. She went on to receive her ARCT in Piano Performance through the Royal Conservatory of Music in 2017.
Ali’s number one priority is showing her students how to find joy in all aspects of music, from beloved repertoire selections to tricky technical exercises. She believes that method is everything when teaching a new concept, and has countless strategies at the ready to match any student’s personal learning style. Beyond the repertoire included in the Royal Conservatory, Ali also enjoys teaching improvisation, show tunes, and progressive rock.
In recent years, Ali has also found great joy teaching academic subjects like English, math, and science. When not teaching, she can be found singing in the Vancouver Bach Choir and composing music inspired by her favourite books.
