Bella Nguyen
Bella Nguyen began her musical studies on the piano at the age of five and followed her passion for music to the flute at the age of twelve. Graduating with a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance from the University of Calgary, Bella’s love for teaching stems from the desire to nurture bright, inquisitive, and sensitive minds. As a piano and flute instructor, Bella strongly believes that learning music should be fun, stimulating, and adaptable to each individual student’s personal goals!
As a performer and educator, Bella has interacted with music in many different forms. Among her diverse experience playing with many orchestras, Bella was also one of the finalist of the 2025-26 RBC Concerto Competition with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and a participant in the 2025-26 Dick Matthews Young Artists Development Program with Calgary ProMusica where she was part of a team that curated music educational shows as a school outreach initiative. She is constantly seeking ways to engage with different communities and is excited to invite new students and budding musicians into a vibrant musical community.
In her free time, Bella can be found bouldering indoors and outdoors, learning different languages, or exploring the city through cafe and restaurant discoveries. Bella strongly advocates for humanity before music, where the healthier the human, the healthier the music-making!
