Growing up, I was always involved with the local theatre and music scene. I began piano lessons at a young age, and switched to voice lessons as a teen, where I achieved my Grade 8 in Voice with the Royal Conservatory of Music. I stayed active in the yearly musicals that the high school would put on and I knew it was something I wanted to continue after graduation.
I was accepted into Randolph College in Toronto and enrolled in the triple threat program, focusing on singing, acting, and dance. I graduated with a Diploma in Performing Arts, specifically in Musical Theatre Performance.
As a teacher, I specialize in basic technique for vocal training, as well as creating a foundation of knowledge in music theory. My prime genre is Musical Theatre, however, I am very flexible with styles and can work with pop, classical, and jazz as well. Gaining confidence and stage presence is a large factor and encouraged in my teaching methods as I want to ensure that everyone is reaching their full potential and love of music and performance.
