Katrina Anthony

Katrina Anthony grew up in Foothills, Alberta, just south of Calgary. She began her musical journey at 7 years old, falling in love with the piano. She took lessons at Music Central in Okotoks, where she later started teaching when she was 15. Katrina has adored teaching since then, finding passion in sharing the love of music and creating unforgettable bonds with each of her students. 

Her adoration for music continued to grow since she began playing piano, showing through in band where she played trumpet, her high school vocal ensemble, and learning other instruments such as guitar. Now in University, Katrina is continuing her musical learning and working towards achieving her ARCT.

Katrina’s teaching approach focuses on helping students develop genuine love and passion for music, as she believes that is foundational long-term in the learning process. She encourages students to build technical skills, as well as building a personal connection to the pieces that they play. Her lessons are designed to be fun and engaging.
