Marc Suralta discovered his love for music at the age of 3, inspired by watching and listening to his dad play 80s rock music on the piano. This early exposure sparked a lifelong passion that saw him picking up drums at 6 years old with a small electric drum set, developing a remarkable play-by-ear style that allowed him to master his favorite songs.

Throughout his junior high and high school years, Marc’s musical journey flourished as he participated in concert bands, jazz bands, rock bands, and a theatre company. It was during high school that he began singing, elevating his vocal talent with professional voice lessons that improved his technique and stage presence.

Marc’s passion for music eventually led him to producing and songwriting. Since 2019, he has showcased his original compositions at various venues across Vancouver. He continues to release music on major streaming platforms. As a graduate from SAE Institute Vancouver, he sharpened his audio engineering and music production skills, becoming a versatile artist.

In teaching, Marc prioritizes a structured, yet fun approach to ensure his students consistently progress and find joy in playing their instruments. His wealth of experience with different instruments equips him to provide invaluable knowledge, giving his students the tools to excel in their instrument of choice. While Marc believes in the skill of playing by ear, he also emphasizes the importance of proper technique to build a solid foundation.

Marc’s mission is to inspire his students to love playing their favourite songs, foster a deep appreciation for music, and develop their own unique style to share with family and friends!
