Piano Teacher
Growing up singing and writing songs since the age of 12, music has always been my safeguard. With a foundation in vocal and band performance, I started playing the piano as an accompaniment for song-writing and performing at festivals. Slowly, playing chords turned into exploring new rhythms, then new melodies, which led me to completing my formal training for Level 10 Piano of the Royal Conservatory of Music. With a love for teaching, I continued expanding my journey with RCM’s teacher training for Teaching Elementary Piano in the recent year.
Ultimately, my teaching principles rest upon fostering in students their own individual artistry, building high-level musical literacy and storytelling with each and every key that they play. Whether the students perform in front of the crowds at festivals or public gatherings, or their loved ones, or just for themselves, I want them to fully immerse in the magic that music has to offer. It is of utmost importance for me to always channel my enduring love for my music to our kids every lesson, and continue building upon our relationships not only from a teacher to student, but from artist to artist.
